2nd PHB2Market Newsletter: New PHB compounds with biobased multifunctional plasticisers and cellulose nanofibers have been developed. The compounds show a good mechanical performance of the new compounds. Particularly the impact properties and aging performance have been significantly improved. Furthermore, these compounds have been moulded into demonstrator articles such as containers and cutlery.

BMP shows similar impact properties of the resulting materials compared to polyolefin based polymers. In extrusion technically valuable mechanical properties of the injection moulded samples based on 100% bio-based raw materials. 3D-printing filaments show a good surface quality and geometrical accuracy.
